Forum to Showcase Pharma Track and Trace Solution

The Drug Supply Chain Security Act continues challenging all U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturers in becoming serialization and data management experts. These, and similar global regulations, demand error-free identification, and tracking of products throughout the entire pharmaceutical supply chain. As a result, billions of item transactions will occur. These must be traceable through secure and auditable data. Furthermore, the scale of the issue demands a streamlined track and trace solution.

In partnership with pharmaceutical industry experts, Bell and Howell is hosting a one-day forum. At this event, they will explore the new requirements and responsibilities on Nov. 17. Additionally, attendees of the Southeast Traceability and Serialization Forum are scheduled to spend time with industry experts. They will also receive a comprehensive overview of the DSCSA’s scope, deadlines, and requirements.

Exploring a Track and Trace Solution

Far from being a simple production line and device-level installation, a future-proof serialization solution impacts nearly every area of a pharmaceutical business.

We recognize this. So with that in mind, we packed the event with content focused on best practices and lessons learned thus far. Attendees will be treated to panel discussions about implementation, integration, and the full supply chain’s evolving demands which challenge existing serialization line solutions.

In addition, “attendees will get to witness a live serialized production line at this forum,” said Steve Robinson, Bell and Howell’s Business Development Director. “What better way than to learn about what’s missing from today’s existing serialization line installations?”

Bell and Howell’s entry into this space is the PharmaFactory solution. This solution uses our proven iQ and JETVision®  technologies to track and trace items through their supply chain as a result. Serialization starts at a single unit. Then, it works through bundling, case packing, palletizing and aggregation, and de-aggregation in the warehouse. The PharmaFactory track and trace solution ensures reliable and transferable product history data.

Co-sponsors for this event include Omega Design Corporation3C! Packaging and Excellis Health Solutions.
