This alliance enables Bell and Howell’s revolutionary new pickup solution to store groceries securely in temperature-controlled environments.
DURHAM, N.C., January 13th, 2022 – Bell and Howell and their suite of automated pickup technologies, known collectively as BH QuickCollect™ Solutions, announced today a new partnership with Liviri, a manufacture of reusable insulated food containers. These thermally performant totes are integral to Bell and Howell’s new comprehensive standalone pickup solution, the QuickCollect GO!™ Pod.
The QuickCollect GO!™ Pod is an intelligent prefabricated outdoor system that can be deployed in a variety of locations and allows efficient consumer pickup of online orders. It supports quick unattended pickup for consumers or delivery drivers, as well as greatly simplifying the storage and pickup process on behalf of store associates.
“When an order has been picked and placed within the Liviri totes, they are loaded into the QuickCollect GO!™ Pod and the customer is notified that their order is ready to be picked up,” explains Joe Zuech, Vice President of Grocery Solutions at Bell and Howell. “This dramatically reduces the inefficiencies seen in typical pickup procedures and allows orders to be stored in temperature appropriate totes until the customer arrives.”
As the e-commerce pickup experience becomes increasingly in focus, many grocers and retailers are seeing the benefit of modernizing their operations with the QuickCollect GO!™ Pod. With Liviri totes supporting frozen, refrigerated, and ambient products, grocers and their customers will have the confidence that orders remain safe and secure. The advanced next-generation technology within the QuickCollect GO!™ Pod then grants the customer access to the totes through a customer portal.
“The reusable totes are precision engineered to fit into grocery picking carts to minimize food transfer inefficiencies,” notes Rachel Lee, senior product line manager at Liviri. “They also stack securely with a grocer’s existing ambient totes for staging complete orders before they enter the QuickCollect GO!™ Pod.”
Grocers can save time and money by eliminating process inefficiencies while boosting the overall customer experience through the ease of pickup and peace of mind knowing their groceries are stored safely.
“As more shoppers fill their carts online, all eyes are on the e-grocery space,” says Chuck Kukic, Liviri General Manager. “This collaboration between Liviri and Bell and Howell is a visionary example of our consultative approaches in action – innovating future-forward answers for e-commerce businesses seeking to solve for the future.”
