Bell and Howell to Highlight eCommerce, Mail and Service Expertise at NPF

Booth Visitors Can Register to Win NCAA Final Four Tickets

Durham, N.C., March 15, 2016 – Bell and Howell will showcase its technology and services solutions at the 2016 National Postal Forum. The mailing and shipping industry’s premier educational and networking event will be held March 20-23 at the Opryland Hotel & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Visitors to Booth 614 will be able to see a Criterion Apex® DM sorter in action, demonstrating technology that allows direct mailers to sort heavyweight, heavy-letter, slick/glossy, tall mail and much more at operating speeds up to 72,000 pieces per hour. In addition, the company is introducing a new Data Protection and Recovery Service (DPRS) that allows operators to easily backup and restore their entire sorting operation to dramatically reduce downtime associated with sorting computer failures.

The Bell and Howell team will be on hand to share its insights on a number of industry challenges:

  • Explore winning approaches to Seamless Acceptance with industry experts
  • Optimize eCommerce fulfillment with innovative encoding, labeling and sorting technologies
  • Increase the value of mail with innovative software and finishing tools
  • Reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency with proactive multi-vendor services

As extra incentive, booth visitors will also be able to register to win tickets to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four in Houston, Texas.

On Sunday, March 20, Bell and Howell CEO Ramesh Ratan will address members of the Parcel Shippers Association at 3 p.m. in the Gaylord Opryland Resort. His presentation, titled “A Day in the Life of a Parcel: Innovations Driving Value in the Economics of Supply Chain and Logistics,” will focus on the company’s unique perspective on the parcel value chain.

Bell and Howell Chief Technology Officer Brian Bowers will also be sharing his insights and expertise as part of a PostalVision 2020 panel on Tuesday, March 22 at the GrayHair Advisors booth (Booth 706) on the Exhibit Hall Floor.

“Contrary to the views of many, this is actually an exciting time to be in the mail, customer communications, and commerce businesses,” said Ratan. “There are many opportunities for growth in eCommerce, customized mailpieces and last-mile delivery, and we will be sharing our views on those topics and demonstrating game-changing solutions at NPF.”
